The 9 Hours Hotel

Posted: March 22nd, 2010 | Author: hourigan | Filed under: Design | Tags: | No Comments »

Opened in Tokyo last December, the 9 Hours is a new hotel-dish, already common in the “format” of accommodation in Tokyo. The name comes from the concept of divided time: 1 hour to shower, sleep for 7 and 1 more to get ready for the next day.

But the highlight of the 9 Hours is its minimalist , created by Fumie Shibata of Design Studio S. They are only four colors, often black and white, for all the visual identity and signage of the hotel.

Delivered in Beta via by swissmiss

A wonderful documentary about Open & Innovation.

How are social media changing ? What is the value of a prototype? How are work and play merging? Where is headed in the 21st century? “Delivered in Beta” begins a conversation on these topics and invites your participation (twitter hashtag #od10beta). This video was created during the Open Workshop at the Betahaus
as part of Social Media Week Berlin 2010. Produced by KS12.
